Next Gen ILS Open Badge

Earn your Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries Next Generation ILS conference Open Badge by e-mailing Jeremy Nelson

What is a badge?

(from the Open Badges about page) A digital badge is an online representation of a skill you've earned. Open Badges take that concept one step further, and allows you to verify your skills, interests and achievements through credible organizations. And because the system is based on an open standard, you can combine multiple badges from different issuers to tell the complete story of your achievements - both online and off.

Step-by-Step

  1. Create an Mozilla Open Badge Backpack Account
  2. Send the e-mail address you used to register for your Open Badge Backpack to jeremy.nelson@coloradocollege.edu
  3. You'll receive a return e-mail with an image attachment of your Next Gen ILS 2014 badge that you then upload to your Mozilla Open Backpack to register your badge.
  4. Display your badge on web-pages and social networks, visit Display your badges across the web for more information.
